New Dawn

My niece Julia…

Photographing her over the weekend for her Senior Portraits made me realize just how fast time flies. I still remember when she was a baby, starting to walk, the Christmases, birthdays, 4th of Julys (or should I say 2nd of Julys), and watching her play softball.

Now I see a mature, confident, ambitious, young woman about to begin another chapter in her life and ready to tackle the world.

Man how time flies!

A Dream

When I was single I had these dreams of a woman in the distance. I could never touch her, or see her face but I always had a strong pulling, a feeling, a sense of love and emotion for her.

But once I woke up from all those dreams I was alone again.

Then I met Veronica.

Now when I have those dreams, I no longer see a woman in the distance with a blank face. I see her. When I wake up I'm no longer alone. I awake beside her. I could touch her. I could feel her. I could kiss her. Now I'm living with the dream.

Happy Valentines Day Babe. I love you!!!

Pvt. M.

Bobby... my oldest. This past weekend we were able to see his BHO (Battle Hand Over) ceremony for the Army National Guard in Las Vegas. He made such an adult decision to join and is now so proud and honored to be able to serve and protect his country.

Funny thing is though, when I see him, I still see my hyperactive little boy with me chasing after him. I also still see him dancing and singing at the high school auditorium. Or playing basketball… or even hanging out with his friends.

Oh my little boy… Wow! He’s all grown up now!
